Dr. Ania Jastreboff

Ania M. Jastreboff, MD, PhD

Dr. Ania Jastreboff is a professor of medicine at Yale School of Medicine. She is also the founding director of Yale Obesity Research Center Y-Weight.

A graduate of Bucknell University and the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. Jastreboff completed her fellowship in endocrinology at YSM, followed by a PhD in investigative medicine at Yale University. Dr. Jastrebroff is board-certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, pediatrics, pediatric endocrinology, and obesity medicine.

Dr. Jastreboff has led landmark studies investigating the physiology of obesity and new medications treating this disease, including several studies for new GLP-1 based medications. As an international thought leader in the field, Dr. Jastreboff is a New York Times best-selling author, sought-after speaker, and compassionate advocate for patients with obesity.

Harlan Krumholz, MD

Harlan M. Krumholz, MD, SM

Dr. Harlan M. Krumholz is the Harold H. Hines, Jr. Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine and a cardiologist at Yale New Haven Hospital. He is also a professor of investigative medicine and public health at Yale University Institution for Social and Policy Studies and the founder of the YSM Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation.

A graduate of Yale University, Harvard Medical School, and Harvard University School of Public Health, Dr. Krumholz is a leading scientific expert working to increase efficient, equitable, and transparent care and research. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine, the Association of American Physicians, and the American Society for Clinical Investigation.

Currently the editor of Journal Watch Cardiology of the New England Journal of Medicine and the editor-in-chief of JACC, a preeminent cardiovascular medical journal, Dr. Krumholz has published over 1,500 articles and three books.

Kevin Carr, MD

Kevin Carr, MD

Dr. Kevin Carr is the head of the Trusted Medical Research Institute and the principal investigator for the Ella Health & Weight Registry research study. Dr. Carr is also the CEO of Trusted Medical, the National Coordination Center, and its supporting shared services entity, Edera, in Washington, D.C. 

A graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Dr. Carr has over 20 years of experience in patient care and healthcare consulting. After completing his residency in internal medicine at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Carr taught on the YSM faculty for a decade.

Dr. Carr is passionate about developing and executing clear and viable strategies that improve healthcare practices and processes for patients, with a vision of connecting the brightest minds in healthcare to drive transformative change.
